Prices
Felucca for 1-4 guests:
7 Hour Felucca adventure: $98
Felucca for 5-8 guests:
7 Hour Felucca adventure: $105
If no wind: for tearing the felucca upstream (count 1 hour),
so can sail with the current easily. In this case please add:
Hourly Motorboat: $15
Sailing felucca one day
A day tour could be like this (numbers are from map):
Start to sail, if you like, visit Tombs of the Nobles (4) and / or Kitchener Island (= Botanical garden, 3), turn south (possibility to get off at the Monastery of Simeon, 5), maybe have a cup of coffee in a Nubian House (7).
See from afar the Lock of Old Higham and turn around at Seheyl Island (where you can also get out to visit of a Nubian village), visit the Old Inscriptions at Seheyl Island (8), sail along East Bank and pass the skyline from Aswan (brown in map).
If you still have time (did not stop at sights / wind was good / prefered to sail north instead) sail north and pass / visit the villages of Gharb Aswan, and get off the felucca in the evening.
One day tour does NOT include visits at all places, as this would take too much time. Please tell our captain at the beginning, what you are interested in.
Tickets for possible sights are not included. Tea and coffee are free while sailing. You can bring a lunch box from your hotel as picnic.
Joining the Coffee Ceremony and drinking coffee must be paid extra to the host. The same in case you will accept the invitation to some Nubian House at Seheyl or Gharb Aswan to see the interior of a house, take pictures and / or receive a tea to drink.

… Highlights of the trip were the outings on the felucca – we felt like princesses being taken on these private trips – everything was done to make sure we enjoyed ourselves – all that for a very acceptable and honest price! …
… Then came the highlight of our time in Aswan, a trip on a felucca. The trip was wonderful, all the time we were given options of things to do and let us tailor the trip to our tastes with his guidance. Our trip to his home, his mother’s home and his village was very interesting and everyone gave us a very warm welcome. It was a shame we did not have any longer as we could have had a much longer trip on the felucca …
